Hrusheekesh Sawarkar
Student Research Assistant, DATEXIS, Berlin University of Applied Sciences (BHT), Berlin, Germany
About
Hrusheekesh is a Master's student in Data Science at BHT, currently working as a student research assistant with the DATEXIS group. He brings two years of experience as a Software Developer in NLP at Reverie Language Technologies, Bangalore, India, where he built production-grade conversational AI systems, fine-tuned TTS models, and shipped low-latency RAG pipelines serving real users across 11 Indian languages; before deciding he wanted to go deeper into the research side of things.
He completed his Bachelor's in Computer Engineering at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Most recently, he worked on a research paper exploring synthetic dataset generation for subtle cyberbullying detection, using GPT-4.1 and Gemini 2.5 Pro to create conversational training data that goes beyond surface-level hate speech.
At DATEXIS, he's excited to connect his engineering background with more rigorous research, and to contribute to work that actually matters in how machines understand human language.
Outside of work and research, Hrusheekesh is an avid hiker and photographer; always chasing good light and interesting trails around Berlin and beyond. He's also a bit of a film nerd who enjoys not just watching movies but pulling them apart: narrative structure, cinematography, what makes a scene actually land. If you want a 20-minute conversation about why a movie's ending works (or doesn't), he's your person.
