Katharina Sachs received a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Potsdam. She worked as a student research assistant at the Department of Experimental and Biological Psychology and focused her bachelor thesis on eye movement control and implicit statistical learning based on Bayesian decision theory. As she has mainly been interested in statistics, programming and machine learning, Katharina has been studying media computer science (B.Sc.) since October 2018.
Currently she supports DATEXIS as a student research assistant with frontend development.
In her free time she enjoys science- and poetry-slams, cycling and playing guitar or e-piano. Furthermore, she likes working on a long-term learning project, which is based on several interconnected Raspberry Pi’s. It is about learning various aspects of distributed systems, such as network communication and architectures, concurrent programming, microservices and their scalability.
